Isadoora Announces Auditions for Tenth Season Opener

Isadoora Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming world premiere of Scott Kopischke’s ECLIPSE OF THE SOUL on Monday, August 22 and Tuesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Monday’s auditions will be held in the Lakeside Seminar Room at Björklunden Lodge in Baileys Harbor, and Tuesday’s auditions will be held in the basement of the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay.

In ECLIPSE OF THE SOUL, an odd assortment of characters fills the cast of Othello at a local theater company as it prepares for its annual Shakespeare festival. When rehearsals are interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious spirit, they must solve the clues to figure out how & why she needs their help. Can they rescue her in time and still put on a show? Henry Timm directs the production, which will play at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay October 6-9 and 13-16; ticket information coming soon.

Anyone interested in auditioning is encouraged to attend one of the two sessions; the script calls for men and women of all ages. Persons auditioning need not be present for the entire time slot, but should plan to spend at least 20 minutes at the audition. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script; however, those wishing to present a prepared piece may do so. Prior acting experience is not required to be a part of this unique opportunity to present a new play. Stage crew and production staff are also needed; interested parties should attend an audition to meet the director.

Those wishing to audition should make every effort to appear at one of the audition sessions; however, those who cannot attend either audition session should call Isadoora at 920.493.3667 to set up an appointment.
