Isadoora to Hold Free "Sound and Movement" Workshop

August 14, 2010; 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Basement, Door County Library, Sturgeon Bay.
Free. RSVP appreciated: 920-493-3667.

Isadoora Theater Company will open its 2010-2011 season with a special Halloween production of Jeffery Thatcher’s adaptation of R. L. Stevenson’s classic horror novella, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, directed by Henry C. Timm. In an effort to capitalize on the unique production opportunities of the late 19th century theater, the director will hold a pre-audition workshop in the stylized techniques of sound and movement in melodrama and silent film. Although attendance at this workshop is not required for auditioning or casting, all interested actors and aspiring talent are strongly encouraged to participate, as the workshop will provide a unique opportunity for actors and the director to interact prior to the auditions. Participants should wear loose fitting garments and comfortable shoes. Appropriate for age 15 and up. Workshop is free; all materials provided.

Auditions for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will be in late August; dates and times to be announced. Performances will be October 28-31 & November 4-7, 2010 at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. The show plays Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm.
