Isadoora Theatre Announces Director, Cast, and Crew for Upcoming Production of "The Cover of Life"

Isadoora Theatre wraps up its 6th season with "The Cover of Life," written by R.T. Robinson and directed by Ann K. Birnschein. A deeply affecting story about women's struggle for self worth, "The Cover of Life" will be presented at the Ephraim Village Hall, May 15-18 & 22-25, 2008.

"The Cover of Life" gathers another great cast of local actors that features some new faces with some long-time Isadoora favorites. Mary Hall, Jenna Kasten, and Tonya Felhofer portray Tood, Weetsie, and Sybil, respectively; three young brides living in rural Louisiana at the outset of World War II, each married to a brother of the Cliffert family. Ginger Auld plays their mother-in law, Aunt Ola, with whom they live. Their husbands have all gone off to war and a local news story about these young wives keeping the home fires burning intrigues the editor of Life Magazine. He decides that they belong on the cover of Life and assigns special correspondent Kate Miller, played by Pamela Johnson, to the story. Lynn Berger plays local reporter Addie Mae and Keith Pieschek plays Tommy, youngest of the Cliffert brothers.

Technical support is provide by a contingent of local theatre folk including Dave Alley of American Folklore Theatre as lighting designer, James Rericha as set designer, and Chris Weidebacher and Andy Hall as sound designers. The production stage manager is Liz Bobbe, Marty Todd is costumer, and Ruthi Henrichs is props mistress. Dr. Arthur Hopper and Sheila Sabrey-Saperstein serve as artistic liaisons to the director.

May 15-17 & 22-24, Thursday through Saturday shows are at 7:30 PM. May 18 & 25, Sunday matinees are at 2 PM. Tickets are $12 and can be reserved by calling the Isadoora box office phone at 920-493-3667. The Ephraim Village Hall is located at 9996 Water Street, Ephraim, WI 54211.
