We are looking for eight men and eight women. All characters fall in the 20-60 age-range, except for the lead male, who should be able to play around 25. Please bring a prepared song. Participants do not need to prepare a monologue as there will be cold readings from the script. Rehearsals will begin as soon as possible after casting, including a read-through on November 24, and may include some weekend dates.
"She Loves Me" showcases a small but strong ensemble cast playing a range of vivid, memorable characters of all ages. George and Amalia (the two leads) are feuding
clerks in a European parfumerie during the 1930's, who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing their respective correspondents are none other than each other. Funny, intelligent, honest and sentimental, "She Loves Me" is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance and nostalgia, yet as universal and relevant as ever in this age of internet
romances. If you liked the movie "You've Got Mail" you'll love this musical.
If you have questions, feel free to contact the production coordinator,
